Liverpool Through To The Final

Liverpool cruise into the finals with a thumping three nil victory over Villarreal. The Reds went into the game one goal behind and Klopp needed his side to respond, and his team did just that. The Reds march into a second cup final in this season.

 

 

Sturridge gave his side the perfect start with a goal in the early stages and leveled the tie. The English International whose future at the club is uncertain is proving his critics wrong week in week out with brilliant performances. Sturridge gave the Reds the lead for the first time in the tie with finesse in the 63rd minute. Lallana killed the tie with a goal in the 81st minute to see of the yellow submarines.

The atmosphere was brilliant at Anfield and reminded fans of the glory days. Villarreal was intimidated by scenes before the match, and the Liverpool fans made things very hard for the away side. ‘You will never walk alone’ was sung by the passionate home fans before the game and it was a very emotional sight for everyone associated with the club.

Jurgen Klopp always provides an extra to the club. The German was full of energy on the touchline and kept on motivating his players. Klopp’s reaction to a well-timed tackle by Lovren was priceless. Jurgen celebrated with style after the win and the fans loved every bit of it.

Klopp knows how to take the best out of every player. Milner, Lovren, Sakho, and Allen were struggling under Brendan Rodgers, and they look like transformed players under the German. Jurgen knows how to use the passionate fans to his advantage and his exuberant and hyper attitude is admired by the fans.

Liverpool will face Sevilla in the final on 18th may and they would need to be on their A game if they are to go past the defending champions. Sevilla would be looking to lift the Cup for a third consecutive time, and the winner would get an automatic spot in the group stage of the Champions League next season.

A reporter asked Klopp about how he was feeling of being this close to UCL football? Liverpool’s coach was surprised as he didn’t know about the rule and told the reporter that he hasn’t even thought about it. The Reds could be back in the UCL next season, and they could become serious contenders under Jurgen Klopp.
