Liverpool is still one of the candidates to include Perr Schuurs in the future, according to various British media writes Sunday. The only seventeen-year-old defender and captain of Fortuna Sittard were earlier this calendar year for a trial period at Anfield and has since made an impression in the tenue of the Limburg citizens.
The more than 1 meter and 90-centimeter long Schuurs, son of former handball international Lambert Schuurs, made his official debut in the main power of Fortuna at the age of sixteen, on 14 October 2016 against VVV-Venlo. Two months later, the international youth international made its basic debut, only to stop disappearing from the first eleven. In May a trial period followed at Liverpool.
According to the latest reports from England, Liverpool closely follows the development of Schuurs, and with above-average interest. The teenage Holland defender is now released for the Netherlands Onder-19, was named the captain of Fortuna in July and was already good for three hits in seven Jupiler League duels. Ajax, PSV, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City are also interested.
A delegation from Liverpool looked at Schuurs’ operations in the Netherlands against Malta (3-0) and Hungary (2-0), in the context of qualification for the EK Onder-19. The defender was in both duels ninety minutes on the field. Schuurs had already been able to make a transfer to Ajax or PSV last summer but indicated that he preferred to finish the season at Fortuna. A transfer in the next transfer period in the winter is of course possible.
Should Perr Schuurs choose for an Eredivisie club or abroad?
