Lions win tight game against Duisburg – FCK knock on top

The 1. FC Kaiserslautern has temporarily taken fourth place on matchday 16 of the 3. Liga, Braunschweig climbed to third. 1860 München narrowly won a close match against MSV Duisburg. Halle had to let Dortmund II pass them by.

The in-form Braunschweig side underlined their promotion ambitions with a third win from their last four games. The Eintracht defeated Türkgücü München 2-0 on Saturday and are now third in the table The goals were scored by Lauberbach (17th) and Henning (48th). Türkgücü conceded their fourth defeat in a row.

1. FC Kaiserslautern moved up to fourth place with a 1:0 win against SV Wehen Wiesbaden – despite a number of absences, the second win in a row. Ritter scored from the spot (68th, penalty). Markus Kauczinski’s debut on the SVWW sidelines was a failure.

TSV 1860 fought their way to a 3:2 victory against MSV Duisburg. In an entertaining match, Bouhaddouz had given the visitors the lead (10th) before Steinhart (16th/penalty) and Mölders (56th) turned the tables for the Lions. After a missed penalty by Steinhart (65th), Ademi equalised for MSV (69th), but Bär excelled in the end with the winning goal (73rd).

In a duel between two mid-table teams, Borussia Dortmund II won 2-1 at Hallescher FC and moved past them in the standings. At the bottom of the table, TSV Havelse fought their way to a 0-0 draw with SC Freiburg II.
