Robert Lewandowski did not return to team training for FC Bayern on Thursday. Instead, the Pole trained individually.
While the team’s training session began at eleven o’clock, Lewandowski entered the training ground just under 20 minutes later and warmed up briefly on the side pitch. He then went for a run with fitness and rehabilitation coach Simon Martinello. After about half an hour on the pitch, the striker disappeared back into the catacombs. The team training continued without the reigning top scorer and ended after about an hour.
Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who had also been on the training pitch on Tuesday, also ended the session early. Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting, who trained fully on Wednesday, was completely absent on Thursday.
Lewandowski had to stop training on Tuesday and did not train at all on Wednesday. FC Bayern speaks of a “minor injury”.
