Last Minute Quit in Final: ‘RBLZ_Vejrgang’ Wins FC Pro Cup 1

Anders ‘RBLZ_Vejrgang’ Vejrgang has won the “first pro tournament” in EA SPORTS FC 24. In FC Pro Cup 1, the Dane even made his opponent in the final stop the match shortly before the end.

After his elimination in the quarter-finals of the FIFAe World Cup 2023, RBLZ coach Daniel ‘Fehrminator’ Fehr reiterated that his protégé Anders ‘RBLZ_Vejrgang’ Vejrgang was the best player in the world. However, he failed to provide the final proof in the summer. The Dane’s next opportunity will be in EA SPORTS FC 24, and he showed impressive early form on Thursday evening.

At the FC Pro Cup 1, declared as the “first professional tournament”, ‘RBLZ_Vejrgang’ won directly. Against partly well-known competitors like Yuval ‘Yuval’ Blizovsky (4:3) or Ander ‘Neat’ Tobal (1:0) he made his way to the final. There, one of his potential successors as FIFA’s or FC’s greatest talent was waiting: 16-year-old Chris ‘ChrisdeBoer’ de Boer from Team Gullit and AZ Alkmaar.

De Boer on Vejrgang: “Annoying in these situations “

‘RBLZ_Vejrgang’ took the lead in the first half (38th) but then failed to extend the advantage for a long time. Until the final phase: three goals in eleven in-game minutes (78th, 87th and 89th) prompted ‘ChrisdeBoer’ to leave the game before the final whistle. “Congratulations, he’s a really good player,” the Dutchman said afterwards in his Twitch stream: “But also annoying in situations like that. He takes it a bit too seriously.” Vejrgang shouldn’t have cared.

In addition to the competitive dream start in FC 24, the eSportsman from RB Leipzig also collected prize money of 250 euros. The FC Pro Cups are organised by the two coaches Javier Villar and Edu Castellano. The latter is FC coach at Manchester City. His new player Matias ‘Matias’ Bonanno, who moved to the Skyblues a few weeks ago, failed to beat de Boer in the semi-finals.
