Land Team unveils Audi look for DTM debut in 2025: This is what Feller’s R8 looks like!

One week before the season opener, the Land Team unveils the DTM design for the only Audi in the field: How the car still looks relatively “naked” and who will be supporting Feller in 2025

After Ricardo Feller was still sporting a carbon look at the official DTM test, the Land Motorsport Team has now unveiled the final design of its Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II just over a week before the DTM season opener in Oschersleben (April 25-27). The only Audi in the 24-strong field will line up in the same livery as when it left the factory.

The base color is gray, complemented by the red Audi stripes and the diamond logo on the roof. Apart from the technical partners, there are no large sponsor logos to be seen. In theory, this could still change.

“I’m really looking forward to starting this DTM season, which is so special to me, with this design,” says Feller. ‘There’s a simple reason why there’s still quite a lot of space on the car. The commitment came late, and we need to use the DTM season to attract more advertising partners.’

Championship-winning car from 2021

The car is the championship-winning car from the ADAC GT Masters, with which Feller and his then teammate Christopher Mies won the title in 2021. The car, which was purchased by Feller’s father at the time, was coated with clear lacquer to preserve the patina from the title win.

Since Feller was left without a cockpit after leaving his Porsche team Allied Racing, it will now be used again and re-wrapped for the season opener in Oschersleben.

What are Feller’s expectations for 2025?

What are Porsche works driver Feller’s expectations for the season after receiving approval from his employer to drive for Audi? “My first expectation is simply to have fun and enjoy being here,” says the Swiss driver, who spent the last three years with Abt Audi and fought for the title in 2023.

“It wasn’t planned and everything really happened at the last minute, so I’m very grateful for that. After that, we’ll see: everyone who drives here wants to win the title. I’ll do my best again this year.”

Unlike most of the other drivers in the field, he doesn’t have a teammate, and the Land team is only fielding one Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II in its debut year in the DTM, but thanks to his experience with the car, he doesn’t see this as a weakness.

“It’s certainly not an advantage, but I wouldn’t see it as a big disadvantage either,” says the 24-year-old. “You learn more when you have two cars, you can work a little faster. Fortunately, I know the Audi quite well.” That’s a “big advantage.”

Feller works with former Abt race engineer

As the project only came about shortly before the DTM test at the beginning of April, it was a huge effort for Land Motorsport and the Swiss racing driver to put a team together at short notice. Feller will work again with his former Abt race engineer Fabio Waser in 2025, who led him to third place in the championship and victory at Zandvoort in 2023.

Rumor has it that it wasn’t Feller’s wish to leave Abt last year. Now the duo is reunited at Land Motorsport.

A familiar face will also be acting as data engineer for Feller: Florian Gresser was responsible for his car in the same role at Abt in 2024 and also supported the Land team at the ADAC Racing Weekend in Spa-Francorchamps, when the Westerwald-based team had to tackle a mammoth program with entries in the ADAC GT Masters, the GTC Race Series, and the Special Touring Car Trophy.
