RB Leipzig will have to do without defender Lukas Klostermann for the time being.
The international suffered a torn muscle fibre in his thigh in the Champions League match at Paris St. Germain (2:3) while trying to prevent the 2:2 equaliser. It is hoped that it is only a small fibre tear, said coach Jesse Marsch after the game. More detailed information will be provided by an MRI examination after the return from Paris.
The Leipzig team is still training in the French metropolis this morning and is not expected back in Leipzig until late afternoon.
Klostermann will therefore definitely be absent for the next Bundesliga match on Saturday against Greuther Fürth. The use of Amadou Haidara is also questionable. The Malian limped off the field with a thigh contusion.
