Klose becomes Champions League expert for “Prime Video

Miroslav Klose is currently out of a job as a coach, but he will be expanding his work as a TV pundit to Germany in future.

Prime Video viewers can look forward to the expertise of Miroslav Klose in the Champions League in the new season. The record goal scorer of the German national team will in future also be deployed in Germany by the streaming provider of online mail-order giant “Amazon”.

It was only in July that it became known that Klose would accompany Champions League matches as an expert on “Prime Video Italia”, and now he will also be in front of the camera in his home country – for the first time as early as next Tuesday, when Scottish runners-up Glasgow Rangers host Dutch cup winners PSV Eindhoven in the first leg of the Champions League play-offs.

According to the broadcaster, Klose will be used in pre-match coverage for selected matches in the 2023/24 Champions League. Most recently, there had been reports that Mario Gomez was quitting his job as a “Prime Video” expert after two years. The 38-year-old, who once wore the FC Bayern jersey together with Klose, is a full-time technical director in the RB cosmos, responsible for Leipzig, New York and Brazil.

Continue to watch one CL match per matchday on “Prime Video “

vThe Champions League group stage pairings will be drawn on 31 August. In the new season in Germany, “Prime Video” will again be allowed to broadcast one match per matchday live and exclusively on Tuesday. All other matches will continue to be shown by streaming competitor DAZN.

Klose had recently made it clear that his main focus was still on coaching. In March, Austrian first division club SCR Altach parted ways with the 45-year-old, who had previously gained his first coaching experience at club level with FC Bayern in the youth team and as co-coach of the first team. “I love being a coach,” Klose had said in July about his priorities.
