Klopp lyrical about Van Dijk:’ His body language is brilliant, to be honest’.

Liverpool broke a club record during the past transfer period by unleashing Virgil van Dijk for about 78 million euros at Southampton. The most expensive defender ever left a very good impression on Jürgen Klopp to date. The rehearser of the Reds doesn’t hide his admiration for the Orange International.

“It is a nice boy, to be honest. Most importantly,”the German manager starts at the club site,”but we didn’t get him because he is nice, but because he can play football well. But the fact that it is such a good boy, of course, helps him to settle in the group. And he did well.

“The fact that he is a good player is beyond doubt. Our four other central defenders are also good and that only helps. If you have a lot of ball possession, you need the right qualities from your defenders,”Klopp emphasizes:”His body language is brilliant, to be honest. He looks like a leader, as a warrior and already now as a real Liverpool player”.

“That is really good to see. He has already contributed a lot, which is why we have won him,”concludes Klopp. The sixteenfold international has so far played eight complete duels for his new club, which is currently occupying third place in the Premier League. The Reds are two points behind Manchester United, which is the opponent of Liverpool on Old Trafford on Saturday.
