Strasbourg – Angelique Kerber has won her opening match at the clay-court tennis tournament in Strasbourg, France. Just over a week before the French Open, the 34-year-old beat world No. 96 Diane Parry of France 6-3, 6-4.
After 1:34 hours of play, the German number one made it to the round of 16. The three-time Grand Slam winner will now face Alyaksandra Sasnovich from Belarus at the 251,750 dollar WTA event.
