Angelique Kerber is sharing some happy news with her fans.
Angelique Kerber is expecting her second child. This was confirmed by the management of the former world number one in tennis to the SID on Thursday.
Kerber had previously announced the happy news on social media.
“We are counting the days until someone special arrives in our family,” the 37-year-old wrote alongside a picture of her with her daughter Liana. Kerber first became a mother in February 2023 and then returned to the WTA Tour after an extended break.
After the Olympic Games in Paris, Kerber ended her successful career, which she crowned with three Grand Slam titles. She remains loyal to her sport as an advisor to the German Tennis Federation (DTB) and as co-organizer of the Bad Homburg tournament.
