The biggest transfer of the summer so far involved Cristiano swapping from Real Madrid for Juventus and after his unveiling ceremony earlier this week, the Juventus fans cannot wait to see the star wear the famous black and white shirt for the first time.
Ronaldo is off to the U.S. but won’t face his old team
Unfortunately, they are going to have to wait quite a bit longer as it has been confirmed that he will miss his team’s game against the MLS All-Stars and he will also miss the International Champions Cup due to his involvement in the World Cup. He will start his preseason training on 30th July and will travel to the U.S. but not play in the games against Benfica (28 July) or his old team Real Madrid (4 August).
Ronaldo and the rest of the Juventus players that got through the group stages of the World Cup. Although he will be in action later on in summer in readiness for the first game of the season on 19th August.
Juventus have strengthened their squad again
Juventus have made some top signings this transfer window with Emre Can coming on a free transfer from Liverpool, Cancelo signed from Valencia and Douglas Costa also making the move to Turin. Add these players to a team that already boasts the likes of Dybala, Higuain and Cuadrado and you have a very strong team. They should be real contenders in the Champions League this season and Ronaldo will be looking to continue adding goals to his Champions League scoring records.
Domestic dominance and now their sights are on European success
Juventus are no strangers to winning silverware and have 34 top-flight titles to their name. They have won the last seven Serie A titles so the signings that they have made are clearly to strengthen their position in European competition, as they have dominated the domestic league for so long. If anyone can help them win the Champions League, that man Ronaldo is going to be the one to do it.
