The Telekom Baskets Bonn have also won the second game of the play-off series against the Hamburg Towers and thus have a match point for game three in the Hanseatic city.
The second-placed team in the main round defeated the Hamburg Towers on Sunday afternoon by a clear 89:81 (37:46) and had considerably fewer problems than in the first game on Friday night, when the victory only came after overtime and with a three-pointer in the last second.
Peter Jackson-Cartwright was once again the Bonner’s best man and scored 41 points. On Friday, he had shone with 36 points. Game three of the series will now take place on Friday (7 pm) in Hamburg.
If the Bonn team also wins away from home, the series will be over in the quarter-finals. A possible semi-final opponent would then be FC Bayern München.
