It is therefore clear to the Australian that this could be his last MotoGP season. It was recently reported that the Ducati factory team has made Miller an offer for the Superbike World Championship. “These are all rumors, because to be honest, I don’t have anything at the moment,” he commented.
So he has no options for 2025? “No, not a single contract offer. I’m not giving up hope until all the doors are closed. But to be honest, it doesn’t look good. I’m doing my best to show something in the second half of the season.”
“The summer break was nice, but also tough. All good things come to an end. But when you don’t have it in your own hands, which you usually don’t have in racing anyway. But I have the feeling that I can still give a lot in this sport. That’s why it’s tough.”
“As I said, it’s never over until it’s over. If I show decent results, then hopefully my phone will ring at some point.” Miller’s manager for more than ten years has been Aki Ajo, who is very well connected in the paddock.
Miller has won four MotoGP races in his career and has stood on the podium a total of 23 times. He would bring ten years of experience to a team and, above all, a lot of technical know-how
Although the season so far has been disappointing for the KTM rider, do the teams have too short a memory, because Miller could help a development project like Pramac-Yamaha with his experience?
“I don’t know, I don’t want to talk much about that. I know what I have shown. And also what I can offer a team. If people don’t see that, then so be it. I can only do my best and I can’t persuade people, I have to show it on the track.”
But he knows the Pramac team very well from three years together, doesn’t he? “Sometimes you say things and upset people. That’s how I’ve lived my whole career,” says “Thriller” Miller. “I am the character that I am. When it’s time for an early shower …”
If there is definitely no place for him in MotoGP, would the Superbike World Championship be interesting? “Of course! The level there is fantastic. The championship is cool. I love racing and three races in one weekend is pretty cool. “
Oliveira confirms concrete talks with Pramac
According to paddock rumors, Miguel Oliveira is a hot candidate at Pramac-Yamaha. The second rider could be a rookie from the Moto2 class. No decision will be made during the Great Britain weekend.
