The latest investigations by the Bremen public prosecutor’s office have revealed that Ex-Werder coach Markus Anfangis not registered in the database of the vaccination centre in Cologne shown in his vaccination certificate. Now the accused and his lawyer have had their say.
On Monday, the North Rhine Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians informed the Bremen public prosecutor’s office that Markus Anfang’s personal details were not recorded in the EDP system of the vaccination centre in Cologne. However, in the vaccination card of the coach of SV Werder Bremenwho resigned from his position on Saturday, the vaccinations are stored for this location.
That the batch number of the first vaccination documented in the vaccination card has never been vaccinated in a vaccination centre. In the case of the batch number of the second vaccination, it can also be assumed that it was not used on the day of the registered vaccination. This strengthens the suspicion against the 47-year-old of having used a forged vaccination card. Depending on the reaction of the accused, for example in the case of a confession, the investigations could thus be close to completion.
Beginning gets opportunity for statement
Anfang will now be given the opportunity to make a statement. The football coach has meanwhile called in a lawyer who is in contact with the Bremen public prosecutor’s office. The file has now been submitted to this lawyer. It remains to be seen whether and how the initial side will now make a statement. On the part of the investigators, however, the most important results have been delivered for the time being. Should Anfang, who as Werder coach had stuck to his version of being vaccinated until the very end, again raise objections, the public prosecutor’s office would again take action with a review.
