LeBron James explained on the talk show “The Shop” in which other sport outside of basketball he would win an Olympic medal.
When asked about this question, James replied after a moment’s thought: “There is no sport in which I would have a chance without preparation. It might be long jump or high jump, but I would need time to prepare, about six to eight months,” he explained.
When asked if he thought he had a chance of winning a medal, the 39-year-old was his usual confident self: “I’m a podium guy.”
James won the gold medal with Team USA in Paris in the summer. If he had wanted to dust off a medal in the long jump, he would have had to jump at least 8.34 m, and in the high jump he would have had to crack the 2.34 m mark.
