He made it clear that he did not mind the unanimous defeat to Paul for this reason: “This is one of those moments when you lose but still win.” Tyson explained that he was very grateful for the evening and had no regrets about getting back in the ring.

The 58-year-old emphasized that he was very proud that his children were able to see him face a talented fighter 31 years his junior over eight rounds on equal terms in the sold-out NFL stadium of the Dallas Cowboys.

Boxing legend suffers from stomach ulcer

The event should have taken place on July 20, but the boxing legend had to postpone it due to illness. “Due to my stomach ulcer, my doctor has unfortunately recommended that I ease up on my training for a few weeks to recover,” Tyson, who had complained of nausea and dizziness on board an aircraft and subsequently required medical attention, told the Mirror at the time.
