In a true goal festival, the Hamburger SV prevailed against FC Nordsjaelland on Thursday After two spectacular rounds, the final score was 7:4 – also thanks to a surprising brace.
It was already clear after a few minutes in which direction the game would develop: Agnero took advantage of the visitors’ first opportunity to give the Danes the lead (4th). But the Hamburg team, for whom coach Tim Walter relied on a three-man backline, struck back immediately through Muheim (6th) – and followed up just over five minutes later through Heyer (12th). However, the Danes were also quick to respond and equalised again in the 19th minute through Coulibaly.
Muheim scores twice
In the following the game calmed down a bit. Both teams constantly pressed and forced their opponents into inaccuracies, which were followed by switching moments – but which were not played out precisely enough in this phase. So it took until the 45th minute before Muheim was on the spot again and in his best centre-forward manner made it 3:2 for the home side at the half-time whistle. It was a surprising brace from the Swiss left-back, who has not exactly earned a reputation as a goalscorer in his career so far.
Six goals in 30 minutes
After half-time, numerous changes ensured that the game became successively wilder and even more spectacular than in the first half. This time, however, it took almost a quarter of an hour before Kinsombi scored a tap-in to make it 4:2 (59th). The knot was loosened and the goals came one after the other: First Coulibaly scored a double (64th), before Meißner restored the gap (70th) and Glatzel even increased it (73rd). However, the Danes did not give up and started to catch up again through Nagalao (79th), before the third brace of the day, Glatzel, sank a penalty kick for the final decision and thus set the final point of the spectacle (87th).
