Eddie Howe will have to wait for his debut as Newcastle coach. He tested positive for COVID-19
A new era was supposed to be ushered in at St James’ Park in Newcastle on Saturday afternoon. However, new coach Eddie Howes debut will have to wait.
It was announced on Friday that the 43-year-old Englishman has contracted the corona virus and has gone into isolation. He will therefore miss the game against Brentford, with assistants Jason Tindall and Graeme Jones taking over.
Newcastle are still winless after eleven matchdays and are second to last on points, level on points with promoted Norwich.
