Both teams head into Saturday’s London derby with two losses to start off their Premier league 2018/19 campaigns. Arsenal currently lies in 17th place in the table and will be hoping that a win against West Ham can get their season back on track.

Another interesting element of this fixture is that it is likely to be Jack Wilshire’s first appearance against his former club. He has not had to wait long for a trip back to the Emirates and he will no doubt feel mixed emotions when he lines up against the team he was at for 17 years.
Arsenal has played two of the hardest teams they are likely to come up against this year with Manchester City and Chelsea, so they should not be too disheartened at their lack of points. They also showed great determination to come back against Chelsea to make it 2-2 before Chelsea found a winner, so there are some positive points for new manager Emery to take from the first two games.
West Ham came up against a strong Liverpool team on the first game of the season and finished on the wrong end of a 4-0 score-line. Next up they played Bournemouth and scored the first goal before Bournemouth scored two goals to leave West Ham without a win in the two games played.
Team news
Arsenal will be without long-term casualty Ainsley Maitland-Niles (broken leg) and Sead Kolasinac (knee). Koscielny is still recovering from the Achilles injury that kept him out for the majority of last season. Monreal should be fit to start for the second match in a row after a spell on the sidelines.
West Ham will be missing Andy Carroll, Manuel Lanzini and Winston Reid but could bring Issa Diop into the starting line-up.
