Liverpool FC have unveiled their away kit for the new season – in a “dizzying” design.
The jersey is inspired by Liverpool’s “vibrant” music scene, particularly the “pioneering role they played in the dance music scene of the 90s”, the English runners-up said on Tuesday. The design, he said, was “dizzying”.
The new away kit, which LFC will debut in as early as their first pre-season game against Manchester United in Bangkok on Tuesday afternoon, plays “to its own beat, according to the report, with a dazzling multi-coloured marbled pattern reminiscent of the days when Liverpool’s clubs ruled the world”.
The back is largely white. The 97 emblem is again embroidered at the back of the neck with flame on either side, commemorating those who lost their lives as a result of the Hillsborough disaster.
