BVB goalkeeper Gregor Kobel will not travel to the Swiss national team. The 23-year-old is slightly ailing and therefore cancelled the Nati.
Dortmund announced on Sunday evening that Kobel, who has not missed a league game for Dortmund this season, has suffered a hip injury. The day before, the former Stuttgart man was on the pitch for over 90 minutes in the defeat to RB Leipzig.
In order to be fit for the duel with his former club in a fortnight, Kobel cancelled his trip to the national team. It was only at the beginning of September that Dortmund’s number one between the posts made his debut for the Swiss senior national team in the friendly match against Greece (2:1).
The Gladbach players Breel Embolo and Nico Elvedi also had to cancel their appearances for the Swiss Association due to injuries.
