Heidenheim binds talent Negele long-term

As FC Heidenheim announced on Tuesday, the contract with junior striker Christopher Negele has been extended by three more years. The 16-year-old is set to become part of the professional squad from the summer.

This means that FCH are setting the course for the future of the junior international, whose old contract would have expired after the current season, at an early stage. “We are extremely pleased that Chris, a highly talented international, has committed himself to FCH for the long term,” commented Holger Sanwald, Heidenheim’s CEO, on the extension.

Negele himself is “proud and grateful for this opportunity”, will “continue to work on myself with focus” and is looking forward to the upcoming tasks on the Ostalb. The youngster, who will celebrate his 17th birthday in April of next year, is expected to join the professional squad “as far as his school education allows” as early as next summer.
