“Hear and see it all”: Redick amazed by LeBron

The Los Angeles Lakers have got off to a successful start in the new NBA season. In the win over the Sacramento Kings, LeBron James stood out in particular, scoring 16 points in a row in the final quarter. However, coach JJ Redick was impressed by a different LeBron moment.

“I think, in general, sometimes there’s a sense of unreality,” JJ Redick said after the Lakers’ third straight win over LeBron James. The 39-year-old had just scored a triple-double with 32 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. ”I’ve had that a lot since I’ve been the Lakers coach, and today was another one of those moments.”

The former podcast partner of James highlighted a situation that had particularly stuck in his mind. “Something I’ve learned about LeBron is that when I’m drawing up a play or talking on a timeout and he’s talking, he still picks up on everything. He hears and sees everything,” Redick made clear.

In the first three games of the season, LeBron averaged 23 points, 7.7 rebounds and 7.3 assists. The Lakers will next be in action on the night of Tuesday, when they travel to Phoenix to face the Phoenix Suns.
