With the 3:1 win in Munich Mannheim moved back into second place in the table, four points behind leaders Magdeburg. Coach Glöckner was satisfied at the post-match press conference: “It was a wild game with two different halves. We played a good first 45 minutes, which was certainly our best performance of the season. But of course it was clear that the Munich team would not be satisfied with the 0:2 at the break. The next tough task awaits 1860 this weekend, as they host the league leaders from Magdeburg. Should they manage a surprise victory, they would be doing Waldhof a big favour. With a win against Wiesbaden, Mannheim could move to within one point of the leaders.
