SKN St. Pölten announce the transfer of Tom Hülsmann. The 20-year-old goalkeeper joins from Bayern Munich II and signs a one-year loan contract with the Lower Austrians
SKN St. Pölten have announced their next new signing, Tom Ritzy Hülsmann. The 20-year-old goalkeeper joins from FC Bayern Munich II and has signed a one-year loan contract with the Austrian second division club.
Having grown up at Bayern, the 2.05-metre man made the leap to the second team in 2022. Last season, he made 29 appearances in the Bavarian regional league. “In Ritzy Hülsmann, we’ve been able to recruit a young and talented goalkeeper who has already gained valuable experience at Bayern Munich II. We are looking forward to working with him and are convinced that he will play an important role in our team,” said sporting director Christoph Freitag, who is delighted with his new signing.
SKN St. Pölten had to digest a disappointing last season. Having started with title ambitions, the Lower Austrians only finished ninth in the second division. Hülsmann is expected to help the team to regain the top spots. “I’m delighted to be a part of SKN St. Pölten from now on and I’m convinced that we can achieve a lot together. From now on, my full focus will be on my new role with the Wolves,” said the 20-year-old.
