The gamescom LAN 2025 not only invites you to watch, chat and learn: the focus is on competition. More than 25 tournaments will be held in Cologne – including the European Championship final.
Whether you’re a professional e-sportsman or an ambitious hobby gamer, at the gamescom LAN in Cologne, every competitive gamer will find the right challenge among more than 25 tournaments. In addition to fame and glory, there is also a total of several tens of thousands of euros in prize money to be won – and this year even a European championship title.
The tournament in Teamfight Tactics alone offers 13,000 euros, plus a direct place in the Set 13 EMEA Golden Spatula. 5,000 euros are up for grabs in Counter-Strike 2, with 3,000 euros each in the competitions in League of Legends, Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League and Valorant.
A total of €1,000 can be won by players in PUBG, with €600 and €500 respectively up for grabs in Apex Legends and Age of Empires. This adds up to a cumulative total of just over €32,000 – a considerable prize pool. This will be doubled again: because the fighting games will see the final of the European Tekken Cup 3.
Two last-minute places for the European Championship final
The 18 best players so far have already qualified for the final of the Tekken European Championship. At the gamescom LAN on February 21, a last-minute qualifier will be held for the first time, with two more final places up for grabs. And with them, the chance to win the lion’s share of another 32,000 euros.
The final round of the European Tekken Cup 3 will then take place on February 22 and 23, also at the gamescom LAN. Among the fighting games that will be played in Cologne as a competition is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which will be the subject of a major tournament. As usual for Nintendo, there seems to be no prize money.
