Fury verbally abuses in Trump manner

After his defeat against Oleksandr Usyk in May, Tyson Fury never misses an opportunity to attack his opponent verbally. Two months before the rematch, the Briton is opening the exchange of blows on Instagram.

Tyson Fury has opened the verbal confrontation around two and a half months before the rematch in heavyweight boxing against Oleksandr Usyk. On social media, the heavyweight boxer attacked his opponent and accused him of making a “big mistake” during the fight for the heavyweight crown in May.

“You had your chance, but you couldn’t finish the job! Mistake,” Fury addressed his rival directly on Instagram. The Briton had suffered a defeat against Usyk in the fight for the undisputed champion of all four boxing associations on May 18 and almost went down in the ninth round. The Ukrainian had sent his opponent to the ropes multiple times. The 35-year-old looked badly knocked out, the referee counted him out while standing, but Fury continued.

Fury is now blaming Usyk for this “mistake”. “You should have finished it when you had the chance,” he warns his upcoming opponent in his Instagram story.

Usyk narrowly defeated Fury on points over twelve rounds in Riyadh on May 18, dethroning the Briton as WBC champion and becoming the first undisputed heavyweight world champion since Lennox Lewis.

But the 2.06-meter giant still seems to be struggling with that. Since then, in “Donald Trump fashion,” Fury has often let it be known that he actually won that fight. For Fury, it was his first defeat in 36 professional fights and a setback in his eventful career. For a long time, the Briton had looked like the sure winner and had occasionally outclassed Usyk. But in round seven, the tide turned, the Ukrainian got better and better and ultimately won on points.

On Instagram, the 35-year-old then went even further and insulted his opponent and his entourage. He labeled Usyk, his manager and promoter, and all of the Ukrainian’s supporters with a “f***”. Usyk will feel Fury’s anger on December 21, the 37-year-old was sent a threat.

However, he reacted rather calmly to his opponent’s threatening gesture and replied on Instagram with “You’re very cool, my friend.” Boxing fans can therefore look forward to seeing whether Fury can follow up his big words with action on December 21.
