The Niners Chemnitz have taken third place in the BBL thanks to a comeback in the closing minutes. Göttingen brutally ran out of steam in the final minutes.
The Saxons prevailed against BG Göttingen on Wednesday evening with 87:86 (40:51). Six minutes before the end, Rodrigo Pastore’s team was still down by 16 points.
Darion Atkins was the best scorer for the Niners with 19 points, who are 22-10 only just behind leaders Telekom Baskets Bonn (24-8).
Göttingen were not helped by Kamar Baldwin’s strong 35 points. In the last three and a half minutes, the guests did not score again.
