The current European champions Italy are changing their supplier within Herzogenaurach. The Squadra Azzurra will be supplied by Adidas instead of Puma from 2023 onwards.
German sporting goods manufacturer Adidas will become a partner of the Italian football association FIGC. The group announced on Wednesday that all national teams of the European champions will be clothed by Adidas from next year.
“We are delighted to have one of the most successful football nations join our portfolio of international federations alongside Germany, Spain, Argentina and Belgium,” said Adidas CEO Kasper Rorsted.
The Italian national team will face Northern Macedonia in the Qatar World Cup play-offs at the end of March and, if they win, either Portugal or Turkey afterwards.
Adidas had suspended its partnership with the Russian Football Federation with immediate effect in early March following Russia’s attack on Ukraine.
