Alba Berlin remains on the road to success. Four days after winning the Cup in their own hall, the Bundesliga basketball team won 82:80 (43:40) against French champion Asvel Villeurbanne in the Euroleague.
It was the seventh win in a row in a must-win game. The best Berlin scorers were Jaleen Smith with 16 and Jonas Mattisseck with 13 points. The Albatrosse are thus in 14th place in the standings after 25 games with nine wins.
Following Russia’s attack on Ukraine, Bayern Munich’s match against ZSKA Moscow, also scheduled for Thursday, has been cancelled. The games of Zenit St. Petersburg and Unics Kasan were also cancelled.
