Here’s everything you need to know about season 4 of Drive to Survive.

Which teams will be featured in season 4 of Drive to Survive?

All 10 F1 teams have signed up once again to take part in Season 4 of Drive to Survive, allowing camera crews a behind-the-scenes look at their operations during race weekends.

In the first season of Drive to Survive, released in 2019, both Ferrari and Mercedes opted not to participate in the series. But since season 2, all teams have been featured in the series.

What races will be featured in season 4 of Drive to Survive?

The Netflix crew was present at all 22 races of the 2021 season, which ran from March to mid-December, making it the longest in Formula One history.

The new season begins with pre-season testing in Bahrain and ends with the dramatic and controversial conclusion to the year in Abu Dhabi, where the championship was decided.

Why won’t Max Verstappen be in season 4 of Drive to Survive?

World champion Max Verstappen will not be directly involved in the fourth season of Drive to Survive after stating last year that he did not want to take part in the series.

“From my side as a driver, I don’t like being part of it,” Verstappen said in an interview with the ‘Associated Press’ last year. “They were faking some rivalries that don’t really exist. So I decided not to take part in it and I didn’t do any interviews after that because then you can’t show anything.”

Although footage of Verstappen from his World Championship year is featured throughout the series, most interviews are conducted in relation to his success with Red Bull team boss Christian Horner.

The series has been a huge success. Season 3 of Drive to Survive was the 1 show on Netflix worldwide shortly after its release last year and is said to have surpassed the first season – something not usually expected for a Netflix show.

Will there be a season 5 of Drive to Survive?

Netflix and F1 usually don’t confirm whether Drive to Survive will continue for another year until several months have passed. Season 4 was only officially announced in August, and the release date was announced less than a month ago.

But cameras from Netflix were already visible in the paddock at the first test in Barcelona. McLaren driver Lando Norris even posted a video of them on TikTok with the words, “Welcome to Drive to Survive season 5.” It is an encouraging sign that Drive to Survive is likely to continue beyond this year.
