Marco Huck is making another comeback attempt. The 15-time boxing world champion wants to take on Evgenios Lazaridis in June
The 15-time boxing world champion Marco Huck is making another comeback attempt this summer. His management announced on Thursday that a fight against the Greek Evgenios Lazaridis will take place on June 29 at the Estrel Hotel in Berlin.
“I’m highly motivated to finally get back in the ring and give the fans a great boxing match,” the 39-year-old was quoted as saying in the press release.
The duel between the two heavyweights was already scheduled to take place on May 20, 2023, but because Huck suffered a serious shoulder injury during preparations, the fight was canceled – which would also have been a comeback after a long wait. The Berlin native last contested an official fight in August 2020, when he defeated Dennis Lewandowski on points.
