Ryan Gravenberch will soon be a Munich player: FC Bayern has apparently achieved a breakthrough in negotiations with Ajax Amsterdam.
As reported by “Voetbal International” and “De Telegraaf” on Wednesday, the two clubs have agreed on a transfer fee of 19 million euros, which could rise to 24.5 million euros via bonus payments.
Gravenberch, who joined Ajax at the age of eight and is now a Dutch international, had already decided weeks ago not to extend his contract, which expires in 2023, but announced that he would not leave his long-time club on a free transfer under any circumstances.
Five-year contract beckons
The 20-year-old midfielder has been on the books of FC Bayern for some time now, and now negotiations have apparently reached the home stretch. He is to receive a five-year contract in Munich.
Only on Tuesday, the German record champions announced the signing of Gravenberch’s team-mate Noussair Mazraoui on a free transfer.
