Davis Cup professional Oscar Otte has already been eliminated in the first round at the tennis tournament in Astana.
The 29-year-old from Cologne was defeated by Croatian Marin Cilic 7:5, 6:7 (4:7), 2:6. This means that there are no German players left in the indoor event, which is endowed with 1.9 million dollars.
Otte showed a strong performance for two sets against the 34-year-old Cilic, who had only lost to Serb Novak Djokovic in the final at the tournament in Tel Aviv last week.
