On 25 August 2018, Beyer celebrated his Bundesliga debut in a Fohlen shirt in the 2-0 derby win over Bayer 04 Leverkusen, and since then another 21 games in Germany’s top division have been added for the defender at VfL. And there are still more to come. Beyer has extended his contract, which runs until the end of the season, by four years until 30 June 2026, the club announced on Wednesday.
