The FIFAe Nations Cup will be held as an offline event in front of spectators in Copenhagen from 27 to 30 July, the field of participants has not yet been determined.
Like the FIFAe World Cup, the FIFAe Nations Cup 2021 had to be cancelled due to corona – the event in Copenhagen could not take place. One year later, the Danish capital will get its redemption: the FIFA 22 Nations Showdown will be played as an offline event in front of spectators from 27 to 30 July at the Bella Arena.
24 nations will compete for the US$400,000 prize pool. The only team already seeded for the big event is the eNational team of host Denmark, the other 23 countries still have to qualify.
23 final places still up for grabs
Tickets for the FIFAe Nations Cup have been on sale since Tuesday, with the last-minute sale starting on 25 May. However, the tickets are only for the last day of the tournament, 30 July. 145 Danish kroner will be charged in advance, which corresponds to just under 20 euros at the current exchange rate.
Whether the respective favoured eNational team will even compete at the FIFAe Nations Cup 2022 has not yet been decided in most cases. On 19 and 20 May, the field for the play-offs will be finalised during the Main Stage of the Qualifiers, which will then determine the 23 participants in addition to the Danes.
DFB-Team already in the Play-offs
The DFB team saved themselves the diversions via the Main Stage in the fourth week of the Play-Ins and entered the play-offs thanks to their first place. These will probably be played in June. In Europe, England, France, the Netherlands, Italy and Sweden have also advanced directly to the play-offs.
