Juventus Turin and EA SPORTS have agreed to a multi-year exclusive partnership. The traditional Italian club returns to FIFA 23 after a long abstinence
For three years, supporters of the Italian top club Juventus Turin had to do without an authentic image in the FIFA series. The Old Lady last appeared in FIFA 19 – with Cristiano Ronaldo as the figurehead on the cover.
An exclusive partnership of the club with Konami and the PES/eFootball series was the trigger for the creative name creation at EA: Piemonte Calcio will become Juventus Turin again from FIFA 23.
Juve also part of EA SPORTS FC
The Canadian studio and the Italian club have agreed on a multi-year exclusive partnership. Accordingly, Juve will also be included in the successor of the FIFA series, EA SPORTS FC.
According to the agreement, the club will once again be authentically represented, including the Allianz stadium, logo and jerseys of the club. Former footballer Claudio Marchisio will also return as a FUT hero. Together with Juve, he won several Italian championship titles. Dusan Vlahovic, on the other hand, will serve as an ambassador for EA SPORTS FIFA 23.
“We are proud to return to EA SPORTS’ side,” said Giorgio Ricci, Chief Revenue Officer of Juventus. “The partnership with EA SPORTS goes beyond the concept of traditional partnership. In the joint project, we want to look to the future, speak to new generations and ride the wave of new trends, urban culture and lifestyle.”
He said the club chose EA SPORTS “to go one step further” because the club shares the developer’s vision and ambition. The announcement does not reveal what projects will be tackled in the future beyond the in-game collaboration.
“Phenomenal club means a lot to us “
“We are delighted to reaffirm our deep commitment to Italian football through this exclusive partnership with Juventus,” said David Jackson, VP of Brand at EA SPORTS FIFA. “This phenomenal club means so much to us and our fans and will enable EA SPORTS to continue to deliver the most authentic and comprehensive interactive football experiences possible in FIFA 23 and beyond.”
EA had already announced its intention to retain and expand a number of exclusive partnerships when it parted ways with football’s world governing body. Juventus Torino seems to be another sign of future continuity.
