FC Pro Live: EA presents first FUT promo with eSports reference

With FC Pro Live, the first ever FUT promo dedicated to eSports will be launched on Friday in EA SPORTS FC 24. However, the special cards do not depict the controller pros. How does the dynamic event work?

With Centurions or Road to the Knockouts, EA SPORTS has already reheated one or two old concepts in FC 24, even after the FIFA split. This week, however, the developer is presenting something completely new: FC Pro Live. The event is not only celebrating its premiere in FUT. It will also be the first promo in the history of the simulation series dedicated to eSports. What will it look like?

The official countdown for FC Pro Live has been running as a FUT loading screen since Wednesday evening. The first special cards will enter the game on Friday evening at 7pm. However, they will still feature professional footballers rather than eSports players. These will each be assigned to one of their counterparts on the controller. EA SPORTS is using the 20 participants in the FC Pro Open as a pool for this

Points in the FC Pro Open – Points for the card

Since FC Pro Live is a dynamic FUT promo, the special items can earn some upgrades. The value increases are linked to the performance of the respective eSports player in the FC Pro Open, which opens on November 27. For example, three points scored by the FC Pro at the start mean an Inform upgrade for the map assigned to him.

A total of four Inform steps can be made by winning the FC Pro Open. However, the FC Pro Live item can also be improved in other aspects. Six points after the second matchday, for example, provide an additional alternative position and a new PlayStyle. As the season progresses, a PlayStyle+ and boosts for skill moves and Weak Foot are also possible

The criteria used by the publisher to select the footballers for the cards is not yet known. The eSports players have been confirmed since last weekend. With the newly crowned eFootballer of the Year 2023 Umut ‘RBLZ_Umut’ Gültekin, Anders ‘RBLZ_Vejrgang’ Vejrgang, Lukas ‘lukas_official11’ Wolff and Sean ‘seanldw’ Landwehr, four VBL players have also made the cut.
