Bayern Munich have extended the contract of veteran Othello Hunter for another season. This was announced by the German runners-up on Monday.
The US-American had moved to Munich from Maccabi Tel Aviv in July last year. The 36-year-old centre is now entering his second season with FC Bayern.
“I don’t want to be anywhere else next season and I can’t wait for the journey to start again. Because the mission in Munich is not over yet,” said Hunter, who had been active in the NBA for the Atlanta Hawks at the beginning of his career.
Brankovic will be tied up for a long time
The centre averaged 7.7 points and five rebounds in 35 appearances last Euroleague season. In the Bundesliga, he averaged eight points per game.
The Munich team also signed Croatian centre Danko Brankovic to a long-term contract. The 22-year-old comes from the youth of the Croatian record champion Cibona Zagreb. He has already played three international matches for the senior national team.
