Meta tactics in just a few seconds? EA SPORTS wants to make this possible for FC 25. The developer is introducing a function with which codes for particularly strong settings can be shared.
Announced as a tactics revolution, the “FC IQ” feature and the associated new player roles are intended to give EA SPORTS FC 25 greater tactical depth and authenticity. The developer promises more than 400 million possible combinations from the different variants to put together a team in the upcoming soccer simulation. Even for experienced players, creating meta-formations will take a lot of time – right?
In FC 25, there will also be an option to leave the work to others. eSports organizations such as Team Gullit have long since discovered how popular the meta tactics of the pros are with casual gamers. After all, almost everyone wants to set up and play like a world champion or eChampions League winner. Until now, however, the experts’ instructions had to be implemented manually in FC 24. The successor title simplifies this process using codes:
Shrinking the skill gap even further?
According to EA SPORTS, every self-built tactic in FC 25 will automatically generate its own code. Players can then share this code “with their friends or followers”, as the developer announced in a presentation available to selected media. So instead of explaining at length how certain settings are made, the corresponding code can simply be distributed and entered and implemented by others.
This should work “in all modes, on all consoles and all generations”. While some fans perceive the innovation on social networks as a great improvement, some complained about the potentially shrinking skill gap in FC 25. After all, being a strong player also requires a certain tactical understanding, which could simply be imitated and faked by the shared codes.
