FC 25 clubs: “Facilities” as an ace in the fight to stay in the league

The clubs community has felt neglected in recent years. EA SPORTS wants to correct this impression in FC 25. How is this to be achieved?

Eleven individual players who have to form a functioning collective as a team on the pitch in order to achieve victory – Clubs is actually the FC game mode that is by far the closest to real soccer. It is therefore understandable that there is a certain fascination with the eleven-versus-eleven – in contrast to EA SPORT’s handling of clubs, which has not always been affectionate in previous editions of the soccer simulation

FC 25: Facilities give clubs additional PlayStyles

The developer has now announced a series of adjustments for FC 25 that should correct this impression. First and foremost, the new “Facilities” should be mentioned. These club facilities are reminiscent of club buildings from Football Manager in that they improve players’ attributes and provide further bonuses depending on their quality, which increases with the club’s reputation. These include, for example, PlayStyles and PlayStyles+, of which players can receive an additional version in FC 25.

Clubs Rush: FC 25 includes new game mode

After VOLTA failed as a small pitch format, EA SPORTS wants to try again with FC 25. “Rush”, the unofficial successor to VOLTA, will be integrated into all existing game modes. In clubs, this means that five-a-side can now also be played – both together as a club and as an individual player. Both game modes have an impact on club and player rankings, as the new mode also brings victory points that count on the clubs leaderboard. Additional rewards can also be earned through a Rush Rank.

In any case, the Clubs progression will undergo a general overhaul. There will be a “Hub Season” in FC 25, in which the progression from Ultimate Team and Clubs will be merged. In addition, completed tasks from the career mode will also have an influence on meta progression, about which more is not yet known

FC 25 Clubs: “Clubhouse” is coming, giants are going

In clubs, individualization has always been high on the players’ list of priorities. FC 24 takes this into account by offering even more opportunities to stand out – both on a personal and team level. In future, individual avatars will be able to wear gloves and sleeves thanks to Club Coins that can be earned, but there is also a restriction: Club players can be a maximum of 1.95 meters tall.

Meanwhile,

clubs have an entire cabin at their disposal for customization. It’s called the “Clubhouse” and is the new club lobby. Before every game, the avatars of the players who join the lobby come together there and prepare for the upcoming match. Crests, colors, lighting and co. are designed to create the right atmosphere

FC IQ, relegations and matchmaking in FC 25 clubs

During FC Bayern Munich’s recently broken championship streak, boredom mostly prevailed at the top of the Bundesliga. Instead, the bottom of the table proved that it can deliver excitement right up to the last second. In FC 25, the very special thrill of the battle to avoid relegation returns to clubs. A relegation play-off is used. If a club loses too many games in a league, it goes into an all-or-nothing match to avoid relegation.

In order not to lose sight of equal opportunities, EA SPORTS has also dedicated itself to matchmaking. Regular league matches are now searched for based on a club’s skill rating. In the playoffs, the player’s own division is still prioritized when searching for an opposing team. Will this make victories feel more rewarding? In any case, they can be celebrated for longer, as the time between the final whistle and returning to the lobby is significantly increased.

FC IQ” should also increase the variability of tactics in a similar way. The completely redesigned team management will also find its way into clubs in FC 25. Here, the club manager will be able to take control as in all other game modes. The important player roles of the avatars, the basis of the tactics revolution, are displayed in the lobby in order to find the best possible fit between personnel and plan. There is no need to worry about AI players. The computer-controlled players can fulfill all player roles
