FC 24: DFB hero and part of “Robbery” as new icons

At the end of the rating reveal, EA SPORTS has introduced eight new icons for FC 24 Ultimate Team (FUT). Among them are the first women’s icons including a DFB heroine. In the men’s game, a part of “Robbery” is represented.

The starting signal for EA SPORTS FC 24 will be sounded soon. After the ratings of the players have been announced continuously, the publisher presents a total of eight new icons. Five of them are the first female icons in the football simulation from EA SPORTS.

Germany’s record international player misses out on top

From 1994 to 2011 she wore the shirt of the German national team, scored 128 goals in 218 games and became world champion twice. We’re talking about Birgit Prinz, an icon who probably can’t be left out of FC 24. In this octet, the Frankfurt-born player even receives the third-highest rating – a 92. Best value: graduation. Prinz gets 92 points there, but her physicality (88) is also convincing. The first women’s icons are completed by Mia Hamm (93), Homare Sawa (91), Camille Abily (90) and Kelly Smith (89).

In the men’s game, one returns in FUT who was still an ordinary item to play in FIFA 23: Franck Ribery. The Frenchman only announced his career end in October 2022 and promptly follows as an icon in FC 24. Ribery kicked for FC Bayern Munich for twelve years, became champion nine times, cup winner six times and won the Handle Cup in 2013. Together with Arjen Robben, he formed the wing duo “Robbery”. However, his iconic item occupies the last place of the ensemble. The overall rating is 88. Nevertheless, certain values lying in the meta are not bad. The pace (89), shooting (85) and dribbling (89) are quite respectable.

Also new in FC 24: Sir Bobby Charlton and Zico. From 1970 to 2015 Charlton was the sole record goal scorer for the English national team, then he was replaced by Wayne Rooney and the current Bayern striker Harry Kane. The now 85-year-old was also part of the 1966 World Cup-winning side that beat Germany 4-2 in the final after extra time, thanks in part to the infamous Wembley goal. Zico did not win a World Cup title, but was successful in his home country for Flamengo Rio de Janeiro.
