Fabio Blanco’s departure after only half a year with Frankfurt Eintracht is apparently only a formality. “The probability that he will leave us is very high,” confirmed sporting director Markus Krösche in an interview on Sunday.
The 17-year-old Spanish junior international, who Eintracht signed on a free transfer from Valencia FC’s U19s last summer and signed a contract until 2023, is on the verge of a move to FC Barcelona, where he will initially play for the second team. The youngster’s departure had already been in the offing for some time, and in the past few days Blanco has been on leave from training in order to look for a new club.
Both sides were too naive in the summer
The end of a misunderstanding after both sides were clearly too naive in the summer when they entered into their liaison, which was enthusiastically announced by the media. Fabio Blanco and his advisors because they underestimated the hurdles, which coach Oliver Glasner describes as follows: “When you come to a club that plays internationally as a very young player, you have little training time. Economically, the deal was still worthwhile
After all: economically, the talent’s short guest appearance will pay off for the Bundesliga club. The transfer fee for Blanco is around 500,000 euros. In addition, there are various agreements worth millions in the event that the attacker makes his breakthrough at Barça or is sold on. Krösche and Glasner would probably have to live with the superficial judgement of having misjudged the player if Blanco eventually takes off. However, the club would at least be assured of a considerable financial consolation.
