Ex-MMA fighter Felipe Colares was hit by a bus and died as a result According to Globo Esporte, the 29-year-old was on his way home from a gym in Rio when the accident occurred.
According to his trainer Rodrigo Babi, the emergency services were able to stabilise the athlete for the time being, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital. The exact circumstances of the accident are still unclear.
Colares is survived by his wife and son
Especially tragic: Colares only recently became a father. Just under ten months ago, the martial artist and his wife became parents to a son.
Since 2019, the Brazilian has competed in a total of six UFC fights, although he has lost four of them. Most recently, he was active in the “Ares FC” league.
