The Predator Race Cup 2022 not only offers a prize pool totalling 50,000 euros, but also a place in Romain Grosjean’s sim racing team R8G E-Sports.
For two years, ex-F1 driver and current Andretti IndyCar driver Romain Grosjean has been running the sim racing team R8G E-Sports. 17 Pro Sim racers, five juniors and three women have since claimed 94 wins and 205 podium finishes. Including a win in the prestigious Le Mans Virtual Series.
Through the 2022 Predator Race Cup, the fireproof ‘The Phoenix’ Grosjean is now looking for young talent. Not only a €2,500 bonus awaits the winner of the international final, but also a place on the successful team.
Anyone with a Steam account and Assetto Corsa including the Dream Packs DLCs two and three can register. Those who can’t call the latter their own don’t have to despair – there is an 80% discount on the game and DLCs if they are still needed.
A chance for newcomers
After registration, the Predator Silverstone track can be downloaded and one of the three cars can be selected. Racing is exclusively with Mercedes AMG GT3, Lamborghini Huracan GT3 and Mclaren 650 GT3.
Even beginners need not shy away from the task. There is still plenty of break-in time before the qualifying from 2 to 5 May 2022. In addition, all assistants in the game are permitted for both qualifying and the national race. There are also no restrictions on the set-up.
On 7 May, 26 pilots will then fight wheel-to-wheel in a 30-minute race for a place in the international final. Even here, a bonus of 1,000 euros plus a non-cash prize package awaits the national winners.
The final will take place on 14 June with the 30 best riders from the participating countries. During the 60-minute race, only traction control and ABS are allowed. Only one can win a place in Romain Grosjean’s team at the end and benefit from the expertise of the experienced driver and the professional eSport structures.
