The German women’s tennis players have not been overly successful recently. All the more pleasing is the news from the Wimbledon qualifiers
Tennis player Eva Lys has made it into the main draw at the grass court classic in Wimbledon. The 22-year-old beat American Amanda Anisimova 4:6, 6:3, 6:4 in the third and deciding round of qualifying on Thursday. Lys is the only German to make it into the main draw via qualifying. The draw for the third Grand Slam tournament of the tennis season will take place on Friday (11.00 a.m.).
