Swabian Lucas Lazogianis is fighting for the title at the European Wrestling Championships in Bratislava. The 2023 World Cup bronze medalist will face Bulgaria’s Kiril Milow in the final of the 97 kg weight class in the Greek-Roman style on Sunday. On his way to the gold medal match, the Olympian first won without a fight against Alex Kessidis of Sweden. The 23-year-old from SG Weilimdorf then beat Tyrone Sterkenburg of the Netherlands and Kiril Maskewisch of Belarus.
On Saturday evening, Krahmer (130 kg) won bronze. The 29-year-old from Stuttgart won the bronze medal match against Beka Kandelaki (Azerbaijan). Hannes Wagner (87 kg) had just lost his bronze medal fight against Aleksandr Komarov of Serbia.
On Friday, Luisa Niemesch had won the first medal for the German weightlifting team. The two-time Olympian won bronze in the 62 kg category.
