DRB athlete reaches the semi-finals
Anastasia Blayvas from KFC Leipzig is fighting for medals at the European Wrestling Championships in Bucharest. In the 55 kg weight class, the 23-year-old won against Tuba Demir from Turkey to reach the semi-finals on Wednesday evening. There she will face Andreja Ana from Romania. Sandra Paruszewski (59 kg), Eyleen Sewina (68 kg) and Francy Rädelt (76 kg), on the other hand, failed to make it through early.
No tickets for the Olympic Games in Paris (July 26 to August 11) will be awarded at the European Championships. The qualifying tournaments will take place from April 5 to 7 in Baku and from May 9 to 12 in Istanbul. The only Olympic ticket for the German Wrestling Federation (DRB) to date was won by Luisa Niemesch at last year’s World Championships
