RB Leipzig will have to do without Emil Forsberg in the coming weeks. The Saxons made the announcement on Sunday.
During the 0:2 against Bielefeld the Swedish international had to be substituted already in the seventh minute. The attacking player had slipped and injured his thigh without any help from the opponent.
As it now turned out, it is a muscle tendon injury near the hip joint, the Saxons expect a forced break of about eight weeks.
Forsberg has played all 17 Bundesliga games for Leipzig this season.
